Many reputable Bible scholars have recognized a chaotic event described in many passages of the scriptures that describe an earth that predates the creation of Adam, that was in a state of ruin following a judgment event from God.
This event includes the description in scriptual passages of a worldwide flood that predates the flood that later occurred in the days of Noah and that likely included an ice age.
This teaching, also referred to as "The Ruin Reconstruction Theory" reveals from these scriptures, that the earth was re-created for the dominion of Adam/mankind after this catastrophic event. The scriptures also point to "the fall of Lucifer" who became Satan and the angels that followed him, as being the probable cause of the PreAdamic chaotic earth.
While this doctrine has had disagreements aimed at it, with the accusation that the teaching was devised following the proposing of "The Theory of Evolution", many ancient documents reveal that this doctrine was recognized in the scriptures as much as 2,000 years ago.
While those who oppose the doctrine despite its scriptural backing also include reputable Bible scholars, those who adhere to it as a true Biblical doctrine come from many theological backgrounds and credentials as well, including Hebrew scholars.
The doctrine Biblically accounts for a very ancient earth and lends toward understanding the proposed ice age and extinction of dinosaurs and other prehistoric life.
The teaching does not change the interpretation of other major core Bible doctrines despite this sometimes being the claim by those who oppose it. It in-fact compliments other Bible doctrines and brings better explanation to many areas of them.
The doctrine does not change recognition for the fact that "Adam's sin" is what brought the sin-nature and spiritual death upon mankind. It does however recognize Satan as the instigator of man's temptation as an angel who had already fallen during a pre-adamic time period.
The intention of this eBook, is not to provide a deeply theological dissertation of the subject but rather to offer a basic general understanding of it and to show that the foundation for the teaching is biblically-based and not a man-made teaching. (A companion eBook that I have also written is titled "The Genesis Gap - Ignored and Misunderstood".)

Good stuff.
Though thought provoking, as a creationist I did not see much proof of concept as I did just see opinion. The genesis voracity foundation's website seems to have more thought involved than this. Not a had book since the author still understands our main purpose as Christians, but not much appeared in this as far as research.
I've read many books and articles on the Old Earth Creation. Many of them state the argument of an Old Earth in different ways but they all agree on the same basic facts based on the Bible of this important concept.
The book, "Pre-Adamic Creation - Genesis Gap" by James M. Lowrance, is another book which discusses the basic beliefs of an Old Earth. It is written in a conversation mode so it is easy for the reader and his discussion on the reality of an Old Earth is both clear and consistent.
The exceptional thing I noticed in reading Lowrance's book is the innovative slant on the Old Earth Creation argument. For instance, he discusses the idea of dinosaurs being on Noah's ark which is the belief of the Young Earth Creation group. Lowrance idea is that because of the size of the dinosaurs and some are "meat-eaters" it would be difficult for cattle herders to defend against these beasts! This is a practical argument against dinosaurs existing during the time the descendants of Adam lived on the earth.
Also, Lowrance states there were roughly 400 species of dinosaurs and since dinosaurs do not exist today because they are extinct. Since there are no dinosaurs mentioned in the New Testament, Lowrance says we have to assume they were extinct before Jesus walked the earth 2000 years ago. He continues, there are about 2000 years between the time of Noah and the time of Jesus. If there were dinosaurs on Noah's ark, Lowrance states there was not enough time (2000 years) for all total extinction of all dinosaurs!
Frankly I found his book both refreshing and interesting. I would highly recommend this book!
I purchased a second copy for my uncle, who is a preacher, after he began reading mine and enjoyed it.
This is a book of less than 80 pages but it adequately supplies many scriptures to convince and affirm the author's belief in the pre-Adamic creation.
This subject is often ridiculed, especially within the Christian home school novement, which movement, among other flaws makes God a participant in deception. The Gap/Old Earth Theory (the author refers to it as doctrine)is neither evolution nor theistic evolution, but a valid and Biblically sound theory of creation. This reviewer holds to the Gap Theory (not to be confused with "The God of the Gaps" in the debate between Neo-Atheism and some creationists). Although the reviewer substantionally agrees with the author's viewpoint, I find the writing awkward, without a smooth flow. His gathering of subject matter is not consistant, with particular subjects too scattered. The book is written with sincerity, but not scholarship. While the book is an okay" presentation of the Gap Theory, one would encourage and hope for more substantial writing on this theme.
Extremely well thought out and researched book.
