I expected a calendar to indicate which constallations will be visible in my backyard each month of the year. Pretty photographs, but no description of what they represent. Except for the phases of the moon, this is a calendar for people who are interested in special dates around the world Chinese New Year, Easter Monday, Ramadan, etc.
It really only has 12 photos and 12 full-size months. The balance is made up on a single page at the end.
Regardless, there are nice pictures of the night sky (don't expect any close-ups). My husband suspects one of the images is upside down.
I am a backyard science type of person. This calendar has good photos anyone can shoot if they have the eye for it - which is something I appreciate a lot. The weakness is we were hoping for deeper astronomy and a better listing of astronomical events.
